National Cadet Crops: National Cadet Crops (NCC) in Moridhal college was raised in 22nd August 2025 under expansion plan of 63 Assam Bn NCC, Dibrugarh. NCC in Moridhal college include both Senior Wing (SW) and Senior Division (SD) cadets. NCC in Moridhal College has a total capacity of 108 cadets with yearly enrolment capacity of 36 cadets. The main aim of NCC is to develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Spirit of Adventure, Sportsmanship, and Secular Outlook among the cadets. It aims to create Organised, Trained and Motivated youth resource to provide leadership in all disciplines of life and to serve the nation. Motto of NCC: Unity and Discipline
Objectives:
Main Objectives of the NCC are to

  1. Reach out to the maximum youths through various institutions.
  2. Teach positive thinking and attitude to the youths.
  3. To make a greatest cohesive force of our nation irrespective of any caste, creed, religion or region.
  4. Provide an ideal platform for the youth to showcase their potential in nation building
Functions or Activities of NCC:
  1. The cadet practices parade drills and marching. This activity develops discipline, coordination, and a sense of unity among cadets.
  2. NCC arranges different types of camps such as Annual Training Camps, leadership camps, and national integration camps. Camps help cadets learn teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and self-confidence.
  3. Cadets are trained for field craft and to handle weapons safely under supervision. It prepares them for possible service in the Indian Armed Forces.
  4. NCC cadets contribute in community service such as anti-dowry drive, anti-drug drive, tree plantation, blood donation camps, cleanliness drives etc. and helps people during natural disasters like floods and earthquake.
  5. NCC encourages adventure activities like trekking, mountaineering, rock climbing, cycling expeditions, and sailing to build courage, confidence, and physical fitness.
  6. NCC Cadets participate in cultural programs, debates, and competitions that promote national integration and cross culture understanding.

NSS Unit, Moridhal College: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Moridhal College, Moridhal, Dhemaji works with the motto “Not Me But You”, aiming to develop the personality and character of students through community service. The unit consists of 100 active volunteers who participate in various social, educational, and community-oriented activities under the guidance of a Programme Officer. The NSS Unit actively engages with nearby villages, schools, and the adopted village to promote social awareness, environmental protection, and community development. Through regular programmes and special camps, the unit strives to build responsible citizens while contributing to the welfare of society.
Objectives of the NSS Unit

  • To develop a sense of social responsibility and civic consciousness among student volunteers.
  • To promote leadership qualities, discipline, and teamwork among students.
  • To encourage students to understand and address the needs and problems of rural communities.
  • To create awareness about health, hygiene, environmental protection, and social issues.
  • To foster the spirit of service, national integration, and community participation among youth.
Functions and Activities of the NSS Unit
  • Organizing cleanliness drives, plantation programmes, and environmental awareness activities in nearby villages and public places.
  • Conducting health, sanitation, and social awareness programmes for the local community.
  • Extending support to nearby schools through awareness programmes, educational guidance, and community outreach activities.
  • Implementing various development activities in the adopted village, including sanitation drives and awareness campaigns.
  • Organizing NSS special camps, rallies, and social service programmes to develop leadership and social commitment among volunteers.
